Saif-ul-Muluk Road Reopens for Tourist Access

The Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) has expedited the reopening of the road leading to the renowned Saif-ul-Muluk Lake, allowing tourists to admire the stunning snow-covered scenery ahead of schedule. This initiative, directed by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tourism advisor Zahid Chan, aims to enhance the travel experience for visitors.

Using heavy machinery, the KDA’s technical team has efficiently cleared glaciers and mudslides obstructing the road to this popular tourist spot. This endeavor ensures easier access to the lake by jeep, significantly improving tourists’ ability to explore the area.

Situated at the northern tip of the Kaghan Valley near Naran, Saif-ul-Muluk Lake is nestled within the Saiful Muluk National Park. Perched at an elevation of 3,224 meters (10,578 feet) above sea level and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the lake offers breathtaking views that attract both local and international tourists, especially during the summer season.

With the road now open, the KDA anticipates a surge in tourist visits, as the lake’s captivating vistas become more accessible. This action aligns with broader efforts to boost tourism in the region and showcase Pakistan’s natural beauty.

Tourists planning to visit Saif-ul-Muluk Lake can anticipate a safe and enjoyable journey, thanks to the swift efforts of the KDA and the support of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
