Law enforcement has acted promptly, arresting seven individuals implicated in the incident. They are currently under 14-day judicial custody. The suspects have been identified as Abdullah, Mehboob Ali, Sajjawal, Ayan, Ehtesham, and Abrar, with their ages ranging from 20 to 23 years.

The Incident:

The accused individuals had traveled in a privately rented car to Pattoki for a Mehndi event. Following the event, while returning to Lahore, they were heavily intoxicated. Crossing paths with a bus carrying college girls on a trip, the suspects began to chase, overtook it, and harassed the female passengers. In response, the bus driver accelerated, prompting one of the suspects to open fire, injuring two girls.

Despite the police launching a thorough investigation initially without leads, they received crucial information from a reliable source. This led them to trace the car back to Thokar Niaz Baig in Lahore, where they arrested the car owner. Subsequent investigations and tracing efforts resulted in the arrest of the remaining culprits, and their weapons were identified.

As the police continue their probe into identifying the individual who fired on the bus, none of the suspects have confessed to the act. The dedicated team responsible for apprehending the perpetrators has been rewarded with a cash prize of 5 lakhs and certificates of appreciation.

Contrary to initial reports, the seventh individual was not the driver, but rather a friend accompanying the group. Additionally, it has been clarified that the car was not rented; it belonged to the seventh suspect.
