[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]A recent blood screening campaign conducted in Rawalpindi district has revealed that a minimum of 20 individuals have tested positive for hepatitis C, while 5 people have been diagnosed with hepatitis B.
Commenced earlier this month, the initiative aims to identify and address cases of hepatitis, with a target of reaching 100,000 residents.
Leading this effort are the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination and the Task Force for Global Health, which are actively conducting blood screenings across four union councils. The primary objective of the program is to detect instances of both hepatitis B and C, which are prevalent health concerns in Pakistan.

Dr. Ansar Ishaq, CEO of the District Health Authority, emphasized the significance of this undertaking, given the increasing number of hepatitis cases. The blood screening campaign involved a total of 1,254 participants.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
