LAHORE – The Punjab Government has launched the ‘Karobar Card’ loan scheme, aiming to empower small business owners and stimulate economic growth. This initiative provides loans ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs1 million, allowing entrepreneurs to establish or expand their ventures.
The announcement came during a meeting led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who highlighted the importance of small businesses in driving economic development and job creation. She stressed the need for supportive policies to nurture entrepreneurship across the province.

Additionally, the government introduced the ‘Chief Minister Aasan Karobar Financing Scheme’ to support medium-sized enterprises. This program offers loans of up to Rs30 million with a five-year repayment period, enabling businesses to scale their operations effectively.
These efforts align with Punjab’s broader vision to strengthen its industrial and commercial sectors. Complementary initiatives like the Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme and the Honhaar Scholarship Scheme further aim to ease financial challenges and empower residents for sustainable progress.
