The equipment of illicit ISPs was collected during two searches in Lahore, near Muslim Town and Multan Road. Furthermore, an enforcement action was launched in Rawalpindi, resulting in the discovery and disabling of services provided by an internet service provider that was still functioning after its licence had expired.

The effectiveness of PTA’s activities against illicit internet service providers may be ascribed to the agency’s constant dedication, continual surveillance, and persistent attempts to combat unlawful internet services. These activities are critical in preventing tax evasion and revenue misreporting, hence reducing the national exchequer’s loss.

To avoid service interruptions, the PTA advises the public to only use PTA-licensed telecom carriers. The list of licenced operators can be found here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
