The session aimed to create a secure environment for Pakistan’s IT and ecommerce sectors. According to PTA, the new online platform streamlines the VPN registration process, allowing legitimate users, such as IT companies, freelancers, and other stakeholders, to register their VPNs easily. This initiative is designed to ensure uninterrupted access and further support Pakistan’s growing digital economy.
While VPNs are acknowledged for providing secure connectivity, concerns were raised about their potential misuse for illegal activities. To address this, companies and freelancers will be encouraged to register their VPNs as part of a proactive strategy to prevent disruptions and promote smooth operations.
