[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]After a review of the weather prediction for the next few days, the Pakistan Cricket Board has opted to conduct the HBL PSL 8 final on Saturday, March 18, at the Gaddafi Stadium, with Sunday and Monday designated as reserve days. The final was originally planned for Sunday, March 19, in Lahore.
“The HBL PSL 8 is our premier event,” said Najam Sethi, Chair of the PCB Management Committee. All of the teams work hard all year to not only make the final but also to win the Supernove Trophy, while the enthusiastic cricket fans wait with bated breath to watch their favourite team proclaimed winner.
“As such, and on the basis of available knowledge concerning adverse weather prediction, it is a prudent and proactive strategy that we use the off-day and play the final on Saturday, and exploit Sunday along with Monday as reserve days. Instead of the typical one day, we will have two reserve days in case the match cannot be completed or played on Saturday.
“We have spoken with the clubs involved in the Play-offs, and they are not only aligned to our position but have backed and supported our choice.
“There will be no inconvenience to the cricket fans as tickets purchased for Sunday’s match will remain valid for Saturday’s rescheduled final.”
Rain looms over the HBL PSL 8 Final. @TheRealPCB and Franchises are anxious that the Final should not be disrupted. Therefore, we have decided to reschedule the HBL PSL Final from 19 Mar '23 to Saturday, 18 Mar '23. Tickets already purchased for the Final will remain valid.
