The session is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am, and newly elected representatives are already arriving at the lower house of the parliament.
The summoning of the session comes just hours before the scheduled oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected Members of the National Assembly of Pakistan. President Alvi, however, expressed concerns about the tone used in the summary submitted by interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Kakar. He clarified that the previous action was in accordance with the provisions of Article 48(1) of the Constitution.

President Alvi took to social media to express his confusion about how the move was perceived as a partisan act. He emphasized that the action was aimed at fulfilling the requirements of the National Assembly in accordance with Article 51 of the Constitution.
In terms of seating arrangements for the upcoming session, former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, who is also the party nominee for the new Prime Minister, along with former President Asif Ali Zardari, Abdul Aleem Khan, and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, have been assigned seats on the front row of government benches.
On the opposition benches, Omar Ayub Khan, former Speaker Asad Qaiser, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and Mahmood Khan Achakzai will occupy the front row.
