PIA Successfully Recovers One of Two Stranded Aircrafts from Indonesia

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]On Tuesday night, PIA successfully retrieved one of its two stranded aircraft from Indonesia as an Airbus A320, registered as AP-DLG, landed at Islamabad International Airport.

The aircraft, manned by two pilots and a crew member, departed from Jakarta, made a refueling stop in Bangkok, and eventually landed in Islamabad at approximately 10:45 pm.

PIA management officials welcomed the Airbus A320 back into the fleet, having received it at the airport.

The second stranded aircraft, another Airbus A320 in Indonesia, is anticipated to return to Pakistan within the next couple of weeks. To secure the release of one of the planes, PIA had to make a payment of $26 million to the leasing company, with $13 million already paid.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
