PIA Issues Apology for Controversial Paris Flight Ad

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has apologized for a recent advertisement promoting its new Paris flights. A PIA spokesperson admitted the ad was exaggerated and misrepresented the airline’s intentions, causing unintended negative reactions.

The spokesperson expressed regret over the backlash and issued an apology.

The controversy intensified after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered an investigation. During a Senate session, Senator Sherry Rehman criticized the ad for causing embarrassment and questioned the responsible agency and officials.

Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar confirmed the Prime Minister had called for an inquiry. The ad, showing a PIA plane near the Eiffel Tower with the phrase “We’re Coming,” was criticized for potentially sending the wrong message.
