PFF President Syed Mohsen Gilani has presented an ambitious roadmap for the future of football in Pakistan.
Joined by newly appointed head coach Nolberto Solano, Gilani outlined reforms, international collaborations, and initiatives aimed at breaking from the federation’s troubled past.
He emphasized transparency and professionalism, praising Solano’s arrival as a turning point. “A coach like Nolberto has never come to Pakistan before. His presence reflects the direction we are taking,” Gilani said.
Solano’s role goes beyond coaching players. He aims to reshape Pakistan’s football culture with modern tactics, motivation, and player development. He will also lead coaching education, focusing on both certifications and real-world knowledge transfer, to build a sustainable coaching system.
Gilani further announced Pakistan’s first-ever national futsal team, highlighting futsal as a vital tool for player growth. “We want them to compete at every level, creating a system that strengthens both grassroots and elite futsal,” he explained.
On the international front, PFF is finalizing collaborations with Azerbaijan, China, and Saudi Arabia. These MOUs will cover youth, women’s football, and technical expertise, ensuring targeted development in each sector.
