He criticized those responsible for leading Pakistan into its current economic crisis, labeling them as criminals.
Sharif strongly criticized the decisions made by previous governments for their political gains, which he claimed had pushed Pakistan to the brink of economic default. He emphasized that the PML-N had taken significant political risks to rescue the country from this precarious situation. He also noted that India had emulated Pakistan’s economic agenda and succeeded, while Pakistani prime ministers had to seek financial assistance from other nations.

Notably, the government had recently implemented substantial increases in petrol and diesel prices, despite earlier promises of relief for the general population. Petrol prices had risen by Rs26.2 per litre, reaching Rs331.38 per litre. Within a month, the caretaker government had further increased petrol prices by Rs58 per litre and diesel prices by Rs56 per litre.
It’s worth mentioning that former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif had confirmed Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan on October 21, with plans for a grand welcome upon his arrival. Shehbaz Sharif asserted that Nawaz Sharif’s removal from power in 2018 was the result of a conspiracy and alleged election rigging, which had left Pakistan trailing behind its regional counterparts. Shehbaz Sharif also reaffirmed that his brother would return to Pakistan to face the law, with unanimous support within the party for this decision.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
