Pakistan’s Petrol Prices Set For Significant Decrease

Petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan are poised to decline amid fluctuations in global oil markets.Unofficial sources suggest a potential reduction of Rs12 per liter for petrol and Rs9.70 per liter for diesel.

In the global oil market, petrol prices have dropped by $6.32 per barrel to $99.93, while diesel prices have also seen a decrease to $4.97 per barrel, indicating a favorable trend.

The anticipated price reduction comes as welcome news, following a similar decrease observed on May 1.If approved by the government, the new petrol price will be approximately Rs276 per liter.

In the recent review, the Pakistani government lowered petrol prices by Rs5.45 to Rs288.49 per liter and reduced the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs8.42 per liter to Rs281.96.

These adjustments offer relief to consumers amidst ongoing fluctuations in global oil markets and are reflective of recent trends in petroleum pricing.
