The China National Space Administration announced that Chang’e-6 executed a near-moon braking maneuver, allowing it to enter circumlunar orbit at 10:12 a.m. (0212GMT).

Pakistan’s inaugural lunar satellite, dubbed ICUBE-Q, is part of this Chinese mission and was launched from China’s Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan province last Friday.
ICUBE-Q, developed jointly by Pakistan’s Institute of Space Technology, China’s Shanghai University, and Pakistan’s SUPARCO, is equipped with two optical cameras designed to capture high-resolution images of the lunar surface.
The satellite’s primary objective is to collect data and images of the moon’s terrain. It features advanced technology to facilitate this task efficiently.
ICUBE-Q marks Pakistan’s entry into lunar exploration, demonstrating the country’s growing capabilities in space technology.
