Nida Dar will continue to lead the Pakistan women’s team for their upcoming tour to Bangladesh, according to the announcement made by the national selection committee headed by Saleem Jaffar. They have revealed a 15-member squad for the tour, which is scheduled for later this month.

Pakistan is set to depart for Bangladesh on October 20th, where they will participate in a six-match white-ball series. This series includes three ODIs, which are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25. The detailed schedule for the series will be provided by the host board at a later date.

Experienced player Iram Javed is making a return to the national side after a one-year hiatus. The right-handed batter last represented Pakistan in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022. Iram also played for the Super Women team against Amazons in three women’s exhibition T20 matches earlier this year in Rawalpindi.

Shawaal Zulfiqar and Syeda Aroob Shah, who were part of the squad that faced South Africa in the white-ball series in Karachi last month, have been left out. Meanwhile, Fatima Sana, who sustained an injury during the second ODI against South Africa, is still in the process of recovery. Both Shawaal and Aroob are part of the 28 probables in the Pakistan women’s emerging team, which is currently in a training camp in Muridke. The emerging team is scheduled to participate in a bilateral series and a triangular tournament involving the emerging cricket teams of West Indies and Thailand later this month.

The Pakistan squad for the tour to Bangladesh includes Nida Dar as the captain, along with Aliya Riaz, Bismah Maroof, Diana Baig, Ghulam Fatima, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali (wk), Najiha Alvi (wk), Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Umm-e-Hani, and Waheeda Akhtar. The non-travelling reserves are Amber Kainat, Omaima Sohail, and Sidra Nawaz (wk).
