Pakistan Officially Eliminated From Cricket World Cup 2023

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Pakistan had a disappointing run, failing to secure a spot in the top 4 for the semi-final stage and finishing fifth in the points table.

The Green Shirts started strongly, defeating Netherlands and Sri Lanka, including chasing down the highest successful target in World Cup history at 345 runs.

However, setbacks followed with four consecutive defeats, including losses to arch-rivals India, Australia, Afghanistan, and South Africa. The loss to Afghanistan was particularly disheartening, denting fans’ hopes.

After these defeats, Pakistan rebounded with consecutive victories against Bangladesh and New Zealand. Fakhar Zaman, making a return, played a crucial role, scoring the fastest hundred for Pakistan in the World Cup in just 63 balls against New Zealand.

Fakhar Zaman’s innings led Pakistan to a win against New Zealand by a DLS Method adjusted score, securing a 21-run victory.

Sri Lanka’s loss to New Zealand dashed Pakistan’s semi-final hopes, leaving fans disappointed and nearly eliminating their team from the World Cup.

In the final fixture against England, Pakistan faced an impossible scenario, needing to chase a target of 287 runs in 10 overs or win by that margin. The Men in Green fell short, losing by 93 runs to the former World Champions.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
