The Pakistan men’s national cricket team, led by captain Babar Azam, has arrived in Dallas for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. After a disappointing series in England, where they lost 2-0 to the 2022 world champions in a four-match series, with two matches abandoned due to rain, Azam and his team landed in the United States.
Prior to their arrival in Dallas, Pakistan played against Ireland in a three-match T20I series, securing a 2-1 victory despite losing one match. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the team is scheduled to hold a practice session from 4:00-7:00 p.m. local time tomorrow.

Their first match in the T20 World Cup is against the United States on June 6. Upon arrival in Dallas, a video surfaced on social media showing Azam briefly conversing with Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar.
One of the most anticipated fixtures of the tournament is Pakistan’s clash with arch-rivals India on June 9 in New York. Due to political tensions, the two nations seldom engage in bilateral series on each other’s soil, opting instead for neutral venues and international tournaments.
The 20-team World Cup commenced today, June 2, with Canada facing the United States at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
