In Sanghar, Sindh’s largest district, a man killed family members who opposed his love marriage with a local girl. The tragic event happened in the Ali Jan Murree area, where the suspect, in a fit of rage, shot his mother, two sisters, and brother-in-law. Following the attack, he fled, and police are conducting raids to apprehend him.

A rescue official confirmed that the bodies were moved to a hospital for further processing. This case is unusual, differing from typical reports in Pakistan where couples are often targeted by their families for pursuing love marriages.

Earlier in Islamabad, a couple from Hangu was murdered in Pind Parian village, within Tarnol police jurisdiction, after their families opposed their marriage. Identified as Mardana Bibi and Shoaib, the couple had taken refuge in the city, but relatives tracked them down, killed them with a sharp-edged weapon, and fled.
