Veteran Pakistani actor Abid Kashmiri has passed away at 74 after a brief illness, Known for his exceptional comedic talent and memorable performances, Kashmiri had been ill for some time, according to his daughter.

Born on May 4, 1950, in Lahore, Kashmiri enjoyed a long and successful career in Pakistan’s entertainment industry, starring in numerous television dramas, stage plays, and films. His natural comedic ability endeared him to audiences, solidifying his status as a beloved figure in showbiz.

In 1988, he was honored with the prestigious Nigar Award for Best Comedian for his role in the film Bazaar-e-Husn.
