The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Interpol and Immigration wing apprehended a passenger at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. The FIA arrested Fahad Mehmood, who had been wanted for 16 years, as he attempted to flee to Greece from the airport.

Gujranwala police had been seeking the accused in connection with a murder case dating back to 2008, which was registered at Cantt police station in Gujranwala. According to the FIA spokesperson, the accused has been handed over to the Punjab Police authorities.
