YouTube superstar MrBeast and author Thea Booysen have officially tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony, choosing a private celebration over the grand spectacle many fans might have expected.
For the special occasion, Thea Booysen wore an elegant ivory bridal gown adorned with delicate floral lace detailing, while MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, opted for a timeless look in a white tuxedo shirt, white blazer, matching trousers, and a Ralph Lauren bow tie.
Despite being known for producing some of YouTube’s biggest and most extravagant videos, MrBeast intentionally kept his wedding simple and personal. Following their engagement in December 2024, the 28-year-old content creator revealed that he wanted a low-key ceremony surrounded only by close family and loved ones rather than a public proposal or lavish celebration.
The couple’s love story began in South Africa, where they met through a mutual friend. Their relationship blossomed after Donaldson learned about Booysen’s fantasy novel, The Marked Children, and reached out to her. Over time, the two developed a close bond that eventually led to their engagement.
Booysen has previously shared that she was surprised to discover MrBeast was very different from the energetic personality millions see in his videos. She described him as kind, genuine, and thoughtful, saying those qualities helped strengthen their relationship.
MrBeast proposed to Booysen on Christmas Day in 2024 in front of her family, creating a heartfelt moment that came as a complete surprise. The intimate proposal reflected the couple’s preference for meaningful family moments over public displays.
Their wedding marks the beginning of a new chapter together, celebrating a relationship that started with a chance meeting and grew into a lifelong partnership.
