On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) granted bail to Khadija Shah, an activist associated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in connection with the Askari Tower attack case.
Khadija Shah, who is the daughter of former finance minister Dr. Salman Shah, and also a PTI activist, had been in custody on judicial remand. Ms. Shah, represented by her advocate Sameer Khosa, submitted a petition to the LHC, asserting that she had been unjustly implicated in the police cases.
Following a hearing that concluded last week, a two-member LHC bench presided over by Justice Ayla Neelum announced their reserved judgment.
