Khalistan Referendum Scheduled November 23 in Canada for Sikhs

Sikhs from the US, Europe, and beyond are arriving in Canada to vote in the Khalistan Referendum. What began as legal approval by Canadian authorities has become a symbol of hope and democratic expression for the Sikh community. Scheduled for November 23 at Ottawa’s historic Billings Estate, the referendum has been welcomed by Sikhs For Justice (SFJ).

SFJ’s General Counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannun called the approval a recognition of Sikhs’ peaceful democratic rights and emphasized that the referendum is a key step in their ongoing quest for self-determination. He highlighted that using a national historic site reflects the Canadian government’s trust in the community’s democratic conduct.

Pannun urged Sikhs to vote peacefully and responsibly, noting that the global Sikh community will continue expressing its political aspirations through democratic means, with November 24 marking the reaffirmation of these goals worldwide
