Adnan Ismail, a brother of Imran Ismail, informed the media that police officers and other law enforcement officers invaded the PTI leader’s home in DHA phase 8 and took him into custody.

“SSP Keamari and some officials in plain clothes who happened to be law enforcement agencies personnel have shifted him to an undisclosed location,” he claimed.

PTI leaders claim that authorities sent him to the Darakhshan authorities Station as part of an ongoing campaign against the party’s leadership following the violent demonstrations that broke out following the detention of PTI chairman Imran Khan.

In contrast, the PTI has petitioned the sessions court in Jacoabad to stop the abuse of Ali Zaidi, a different PTI politician and a former federal minister who was transferred to a district jail yesterday.

The court then sent letters to the prison district administration and has scheduled a Saturday (tomorrow) summons for them.

Notably, despite having earlier issued a directive ordering his one-month detention, the Sindh government allowed him the luxury of house imprisonment. However, a notice was released two days ago rescinding the relief. He was sent to the Jacobabad district prison.

Imran Khan, the head of the PTI, vehemently denounced the “illegal arrests and abductions” of members and officials of his party.

The former PM had earlier this week noted on his official Twitter account that PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and secretary general Asad Umar had been detained “for more than a week now.”

He had claimed that “despite court orders, journalist Imran Riaz Khan was not presented in court” with “confirmed” allegations of torture.

Additionally, Imran had questioned Shehrayar Afridi’s wife’s detention and requested the “immediate release” of all female PTI leaders, employees, and family members.

In a new statement released today, the PTI leader denounced the attack on Jinnah House, which he claimed brought “disgrace” to the nation two weeks after the May 9 unrest.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
