New Zealand’s Kane Williamson reached a significant milestone in the Test match against Sri Lanka, surpassing Virat Kohli in the all-time Test run-scoring rankings.

Williamson’s second-innings knock of 46 runs from 58 balls, before falling to Nishan Peiris, helped him achieve this feat. He partnered effectively with Devon Conway to recover from a slow first innings.

Despite Williamson’s efforts, Sri Lanka dominated the match, securing a 2-0 series win. New Zealand’s second-innings fightback wasn’t enough to avoid their heaviest loss to Sri Lanka, slipping to seventh in the WTC standings.
