Given the worsening conditions, Pakistan’s interim Prime Minister, Anwaarul Haq Kakar, initiated a conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the most recent developments arising from the Israeli forces’ ongoing acts of brutality in the occupied territory.
According to an official statement from the Prime Minister’s office, Kakar strongly condemned the relentless Israeli airstrikes, particularly the bombing of Al-Ahli Hospital, resulting in the immediate deaths of over 500 individuals.
The Pakistani leader denounced the reprehensible and deliberate acts of Israeli aggression against innocent civilians.
During their conversation, Kakar and Abbas stressed the urgent need for the international community to demand an immediate cessation of the violence from Israel. Kakar also pledged the delivery of crucial humanitarian aid and medical assistance to those affected.
He emphasized the international community’s responsibility to take decisive actions to resolve the crisis, while upholding established principles of justice, humanity, and international law.
Kakar also advocated for a two-state solution, ultimately leading to the establishment of a sovereign and viable Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders that existed before 1967.
President Abbas expressed his gratitude to Kakar for Islamabad’s enduring support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit of freedom.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
