The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has once again summoned 16 members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in connection with alleged involvement in negative propaganda.
According to sources, the JIT issued notices instructing them to appear on March 18, 2025.
Among those summoned are key PTI figures, including Syed Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Mohammad Khalid Khurshid Khan, Mian Mohammad Aslam Iqbal, and Hammad Azhar. Others include Aoun Abbas, Mohammad Shahbaz Shabbir, Waqas Akram, and Taimur Saleem Khan.

Additionally, notices were sent to Sibghatullah Virk, Azhar Mishwani, Mohammad Nouman Afzal, Jabran Elias, Salman Raza, Zulfi Bukhari, Musa Virk, and Ali Malik.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, along with Raoof Hassan and Shah Farman, has already appeared before the JIT.
On March 14, 2025, PTI founder’s sister, Aleema Khan, failed to appear despite receiving a summons. Consequently, the JIT issued another notice to Aliya Khan, scheduling her appearance for March 19, 2025.
The investigation is based on evidence linking these individuals to anti-state propaganda. The notices also include warnings for them to clarify their stance on the matter.
The JIT was established under notification F.No.8/9/2024-FIA/ in accordance with Section 30 of the Electronic Crimes Prevention Act 2016. The inquiry is being led by Islamabad’s Inspector General of Police, Ali Nasir Rizvi.
