With Eid ul Azha nearing, Islamabad’s district administration has announced strict action against unauthorized animal sale points, confirming five official cattle markets in Sangjani, I-15, Bhara Kahu, Lehtrar Road, and Islamabad Expressway. These markets will operate from the 1st to 13th of Zilhajj, with tenders already issued.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon emphasized that no buying or selling of animals will be permitted before the official dates. Any market outside the approved locations will be deemed illegal.

Monitoring teams are actively removing unauthorized stalls, citing sanitation problems and public inconvenience. The designated markets will provide basic amenities like water, electricity, proper entry/exit routes, and on-site animal health checks.
