According to the Indian news outlet Times Now, actor Imran Zahid has approached the organizers of the Pakistani TV channel with a proposal to bring the acclaimed show, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, to the stage.

In an interview, Imran Zahid revealed that he has sought legal permission from Momina Duraid, the founder of Momina Duraid Productions, to adapt Humsafar for theater. Zahid emphasized that the production will be a voluntary effort, with no compensation for the actors, and the aim is not to generate profit but to honor the drama’s legacy. He expressed optimism that once all legal and organizational details are settled, the project will be finalized and theater dates will be announced.

Originally aired in 2011, Humsafar made a significant impact on Pakistani television and remains a beloved series in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.
