The decision to seize the property was made on August 8, following Yadav’s failure to make the necessary repayments. As of now, neither the bank nor Yadav has issued a public statement about the situation.
Rajpal Yadav is well-known for his comedic roles in Bollywood. He was last seen in the popular film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and made his OTT debut in the film Kathal, starring Sanya Malhotra. Upcoming projects for Yadav include Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Baby John, Welcome To The Jungle, and Maktoob.
Despite his successful career, Yadav has faced a series of ups and downs. Currently, he is dealing with a challenging period due to the non-payment issue with the bank.
Reports indicate that Yadav had mortgaged his property to secure a loan of INR 3 crore for a film produced under his production house, Shree Naurang Godavari Entertainment Limited. The property was sealed in August 2024 due to his inability to repay the loan. The production house, managed by his wife Radha Yadav, produced a film featuring Rajpal Yadav alongside Om Puri and local artists from Shahjahanpur.
