India Announces Their Strong Squad For World Cup 2023

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The final 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India was revealed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), with the tournament set to kick off on October 5.

Among the selected players, KL Rahul has secured his place in the squad, but Sanju Samson has been excluded. Rohit Sharma will serve as the captain for the Men in Blue during the event.

Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna, who are currently representing India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka, have not been included in the World Cup squad.

Despite their consistent performances in the current season, experienced spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin did not make it into the Indian squad for the mega event, which has generated surprise and questions among the media and fans.

15 Member Squad: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj.
