Sources suggest that Khan has stipulated that any negotiations must strictly adhere to constitutional and legal frameworks.
Before initiating negotiations, terms of reference (TORs) will be established as per Khan’s instructions. Discussions with the establishment and political entities will be based on these TORs and involve various leaders.
Speaking to journalists, Faraz highlighted the country’s current political instability and stressed the importance of defining negotiation parameters in advance. He advocated for dialogues with influential stakeholders, emphasizing the need to lay groundwork and assess the current situation.
Faraz underscored the realities faced by both PTI and the establishment, reminding that the government was formed under Article 47, highlighting the importance of clarifying its authority. He stressed the need to establish a foundation before entering into negotiations.
It’s worth noting that just a day prior, during a Senate session, Senator Irfan Siddiqui of PML-N extended an invitation to PTI leadership for talks.
