In response to reporters’ inquiries, Khan expressed unawareness regarding any formation of a forward bloc by 40 MPAs in the Punjab Assembly. He emphasized the need to reinvestigate the statement made by US Undersecretary of State Donald Lu. Notably, Khan mentioned that the US ambassador had not visited him in jail, but he intended to address Donald Lu’s statement and the involvement of the American embassy if the US ambassador were to meet him.
Regarding the cipher, Khan stated that while the original document was kept in the Foreign Office, he was only provided with a summarized version. He stressed that as a prime minister, he should not be held responsible for the theft of the cipher, highlighting existing security protocols for the prime minister’s office.
Khan advocated for the formation of two judicial commissions: one to investigate the violence on May 9 and the other to probe the alleged vote rigging in the general elections on February 8.
Furthermore, Khan asserted that his party was being marginalized under the pretext of the May 9 riots and criticized the Senate and presidential elections as meaningless due to their foundation on the allegedly rigged general elections of February 8. He concluded by urging authorities to keep him incarcerated if necessary but to release other members of his party.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
