[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]A recent report exposed a Rs. 13 billion corruption scam within the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman, Noor Alam Khan, said that corruption occurred during the acquisition of smart cards, Iris, and census tablets.
Following this discovery, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) got a statement from the former NADRA chairman, and an investigation would be conducted by a Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
As a result, the NADRA chairman resigned, and the Interior Secretary was asked to suspend any personnel suspected of being involved.

PAC Chairman Khan got a letter detailing NADRA corruption, which he shared with committee members and the media. The letter stated that Tariq Malik, the former NADRA chairman, handpicked particular individuals for jobs.
Malik has previously offered his resignation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif before to the controversy. The FIA is currently investigating him for his alleged role in the corruption case.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
