Hina Bayat Criticizes Young Actors for Vaping on Set

Veteran actress and activist Hina Bayat has voiced serious concerns about the rising trend of vaping among young Pakistani actors on sets.

Known for her impactful roles in dramas like Jaan Nisar, Hina recently appeared on a talk show where she openly addressed the growing popularity of vaping and smoking within the entertainment industry. She highlighted that such habits are becoming alarmingly common among youth, with leaked videos and photos of celebrities vaping often sparking intense online debates—female celebrities, in particular, facing harsher criticism.

Hina did not mince words as she shared her personal discomfort with vaping in shared spaces, explaining that she is allergic to smoke and always asks colleagues to step outside if they wish to vape or smoke. She recounted a recent encounter with a young actor who asked to vape in her presence, to which she firmly declined. The actor reportedly responded, “You non-smokers are so biased against smokers!”

Expressing disappointment at how normalized vaping has become, Hina urged younger actors to avoid vaping, especially in public or shared environments. Her remarks serve not only as a critique of celebrity behavior but also as a wake-up call about the wider public health risks associated with vaping and smoking. With more young people picking up these habits, she emphasized the urgent need for increased awareness and healthier lifestyle choices.
