Govt Allocates Rs. 90 Billion for Parliamentarians’ Schemes in FY24

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The federal government has set out Rs. 90 billion for legislative projects in the fiscal year 2023-24 (FY24).

According to sources, the National Economic Council (NEC) approved allocating Rs. 90 billion (a 32% increase) for lawmakers’ initiatives under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Achievement Programme in the coming fiscal year.

The government allotted Rs. 68 billion for parliamentarian programmes in the previous fiscal year, but real spending increased to Rs. 111 billion in FY23.

According to reports, the government has earmarked funding in the PSDP for the coming fiscal year for a variety of projects, including the Need Assessment of Health Human Resources for Driving Innovation and Achieving SDGs 2030, National Initiatives for SDGs, and the Establishment of a Federal SDGs Support Unit.

In addition, the government has set enough funds for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Merged Districts.s[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
