Gold prices in Pakistan fell last week.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Following a large surge the day before, the price of gold in Pakistan plummeted again on Saturday.

According to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of gold (24 carats) fell by Rs. 1,600 per tola to Rs. 231,400, while the price of 10 grammes fell by Rs. 1,371 to Rs. 198,388.

For several weeks, the price of gold has been steadily rising. This is the first time in a long time that the price has dropped drastically. The week began with a drop of Rs. 1,700 per tola on Monday, followed by another drop of Rs. 1,700 per tola on Tuesday. The precious metal rose by Rs. 1,600 per tola on Wednesday before dipping by Rs. 5,400 per tola on Thursday and rising by Rs. 4,000 per tola on Friday.

The drop on Saturday indicates that the price of gold fell by Rs. 4,800 per tola in the previous week. In the preceding week, the price of gold jumped by Rs. 900 per tola.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
