German Pizzeria Busted for Delivering Cocaine Hidden in Pizza Orders

A pizza restaurant in Düsseldorf, Germany, has come under investigation for allegedly delivering cocaine along with its popular menu items. According to police reports, customers who ordered item number 40 received not only pizza but also a side of the illegal drug. “That was one of the top-selling pizzas,” said Michael Graf von Moltke, the criminal director.

The probe was initiated after food inspectors alerted authorities in March. As officers from the drug squad surveilled the restaurant, they observed the manager throwing a bag of drugs from his apartment window, which “landed directly in the hands of waiting police officers,” according to Düsseldorf police. The exact price of this unusual “special order” remains unclear.
