His appointment by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) earlier this month was based on his wealth of experience and proven track record in the T20 format. His arrival in Leeds has been warmly welcomed by both players and fans, who are optimistic about his impact on the team’s performance against the strong English side.
Kirsten’s coaching accolades include guiding India to World Cup victory in 2011 and propelling South Africa to the top of the Test rankings. His expertise in T20 cricket is particularly valued, having coached the Gujrat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season.
The Pakistan team, led by Babar Azam, will commence the series with the first T20 at Headingley, followed by the second match at Edgbaston, Birmingham on May 25. Subsequent matches will be held at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on May 28 and ‘The Oval’ on May 30.
Following the series, Pakistan will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against hosts USA on June 6 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
