Gangster Anmol Bishnoi Allegedly Arrested in the US

Anmol Bishnoi, Brother of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Detained in California

Indian authorities have reported that Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been detained by US authorities in California. While no official confirmation has been received, sources indicate that Bishnoi, who allegedly coordinated gang activities from the US alongside Goldy Brar, was apprehended approximately four to five days ago. His last known location was Fresno, California, but it is unclear if the detention took place there. Efforts are underway to obtain further details through official channels.

This development marks the second significant arrest of a wanted gangster in recent weeks, following the detention of Arshdeep Singh Gill, alias Arsh Dalla, in Canada last month. US authorities have reportedly been in contact with Mumbai Police regarding Bishnoi’s involvement in high-profile criminal activities. These include the April 14 firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence and the October 12 murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Bandra East.

Bishnoi, listed as ‘most wanted’ by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), has a million INR reward on his head. The NIA alleges that he, along with Brar, oversees the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s operations from abroad, coordinating extortion, killings, and ties with pro-Khalistan groups like Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The gang has been active in several Indian states, allegedly targeting singers, industrialists, political figures, and film industry personalities for extortion, with some comparing their operations to the infamous Mumbai underworld prior to the 1993 blasts.

Anmol Bishnoi is also a key suspect in the May 2022 murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala. Authorities continue to investigate the gang’s extensive criminal network, particularly the role of its overseas operatives.
