Federal Directorate of Education has introduced a new training initiative for school teachers in Islamabad aimed at improving digital and creative skills.
According to an official notification issued by the FDE, teachers from educational institutions across the federal capital will receive specialized training in graphic design, video editing, Canva, and other information technology-related tools. The program is designed to enhance teachers’ digital capabilities and support modern teaching methods in classrooms.
Officials stated that the training sessions will also be held during weekly holidays as part of the schedule prepared for the initiative. The first workshops are set to begin on May 8 and May 9, which fall on Friday and Saturday.
The training campaign will continue from May 8 to May 15 at different locations across Islamabad. Daily sessions will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, allowing participants to receive practical instruction and hands-on experience with digital platforms and editing software.
According to the notification, around 430 teachers from model schools and colleges will take part in the workshops. Participants will come from institutions located in Urban areas as well as sectors including Sihala, Tarnol, Bhara Kahu, and Nilore.
Education officials said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to improve digital literacy among teachers and strengthen the use of technology in the education system. The training is expected to help educators create more engaging classroom content, improve communication methods, and adapt to modern educational requirements.
The program also highlights the increasing importance of digital tools in teaching and learning environments across Pakistan.
