Madam Saima Kanwal, who runs a reputable girls’ hostel in the area, alleged that SHO Raja Ehsan, accompanied by male constables, conducted an unwarranted surprise raid on the night of 23 July. During the raid, Kanwal claimed that the female residents of the hostel were harassed and mistreated. The absence of female constables during the raid raised further concerns about the police team’s behavior.

According to Kanwal, some of the girls were detained without proper legal procedure, forcibly placed into a police van. She further stated that the detained girls were held against their will, subjected to video recordings, and coerced into signing plain papers before being released.

Taking these allegations seriously, CPO Gondal promptly suspended the SHO pending a comprehensive investigation. The police department has assured the public that any abuse of power or misconduct by its officers will not be tolerated.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
