Accompanying the army chief were various officials, including interim Law Minister Ahmad Irfan Aslam and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait Malik Mohammad Farooq.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, currently on a week-long trip to the Middle East, also arrived in Kuwait to strengthen bilateral ties.

According to a press release from the PM Office, the premier is scheduled to meet with the crown prince and Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The leaders are anticipated to sign multiple memorandums of understanding (MoUs) covering areas such as manpower, information technology, minerals and mining, food security, energy, and defense.

The PMO highlighted that this visit marks the commencement of a “new era of economic cooperation” between Pakistan and Kuwait. Additionally, 2023 signifies the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Before arriving in Kuwait, the prime minister concluded his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where MoUs related to investment cooperation were signed, unlocking substantial funding from the Middle Eastern state, as disclosed earlier during the visits to the UAE by PM Kakar and COAS Munir.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
