Police have arrested a doctor in Multan after his wife filed a complaint alleging unwanted sexual acts, physical violence and threats during their marriage.
An FIR has been registered at the Women Police Station in the Mumtazabad area under Sections 376 and 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code. According to the FIR, the latest alleged incident took place on August 14, 2026, at around 10:30pm, while the woman formally reported the matter to police on September 7.
The complainant identified her husband in the FIR as Ahsan Azhar. She told police that they got married in 2012 and have four children, including two sons and two daughters. According to her statement, her husband’s behaviour was initially normal but allegedly changed over time.
The woman alleged that her husband later became involved in relationships with other women. She further claimed that he had recorded videos involving other women and showed some of those videos to her. According to the complaint, she alleged that the videos were used to pressure her into unwanted sexual acts.
She also alleged that she was subjected to physical violence whenever she refused. The woman claimed that her husband threatened her with divorce and that she remained silent for some time because she wanted to protect her marriage and family.
According to the complaint, the alleged abuse continued for around two years. The woman identified August 14 as the date of the latest alleged incident. She told investigators that her children had gone to sleep in another room when her husband allegedly attempted to force her into unwanted sexual activity at around 10:30pm.
The complainant claimed that she subsequently became unwell. She said that after experiencing what she described as repeated abuse and violence, she eventually informed her brother and father about the situation.
The FIR further states that the suspect allegedly became angry after learning that his wife had told her family about the allegations. The woman claimed that the alleged physical abuse continued and that she was eventually forced to leave the house along with her children.
Police have arrested the suspect and launched an investigation into the allegations. Investigators will examine the complaint and other available evidence to determine what happened and establish the facts of the case.
The allegations recorded in the FIR have not been proven in court. The suspect will have the right to defend himself through the legal process, while further action will depend on the findings of the police investigation and proceedings before the relevant authorities.
