Cement Prices Drop Across Pakistan – Check Latest Prices

Retail cement prices in Pakistan recorded a slight decline during the week ending April 23, according to data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The report shows a modest easing in rates across both northern and southern regions after weeks of relative stability, providing some relief to the construction sector and consumers.

In northern areas, the average price per 50kg cement bag dropped to Rs1,535, marking a decrease of 0.84% compared to the previous week’s Rs1,548. This indicates a small but noticeable downward adjustment in pricing trends across the region. Meanwhile, southern markets also saw a slight reduction, with average prices moving down to Rs1,542 per bag from Rs1,544.

City-wise figures reflect varied pricing across the country. In northern cities, Islamabad reported Rs1,541 per bag, while Rawalpindi stood at Rs1,522. Gujranwala and Sialkot both recorded Rs1,550, whereas Lahore saw a higher rate of Rs1,582. Faisalabad remained relatively lower at Rs1,510, followed by Sargodha at Rs1,542 and Multan at Rs1,536. Bahawalpur recorded one of the higher northern rates at Rs1,583. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar stood at Rs1,516, while Bannu recorded the lowest among northern cities at Rs1,450.

In southern Pakistan, Karachi showed a price of Rs1,461 per bag, while Hyderabad was recorded at Rs1,520. Sukkur reported Rs1,600, Larkana Rs1,513, Quetta Rs1,490, and Khuzdar registered the highest rate among listed cities at Rs1,667 per bag.

Overall, the latest data suggests a slight cooling in cement prices after previous stability, which may help ease cost pressures for ongoing construction projects and infrastructure development across the country.
