The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed 17 unauthorized commercial structures in a major operation across Zone-V, targeting violations of the Islamabad Building Control Regulations 2020 (amended 2023).
Acting on the directives of the Federal Interior Minister—who also chairs CDA—the operation was part of an ongoing campaign to eliminate illegal construction in the federal capital. The drive was led by the Directorate General of Building & Housing Control, in collaboration with CDA Enforcement, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, and local police.

Among the sealed sites were the Wasna Palace Marquee, operating without approved plans, 14 illegal buildings in Jinnah Gardens Society (Touseef and Shaheen Commercial Blocks), and two under-construction sites along Japan Road in Mouza Gagri. Stop Work and Regularization Notices were also issued to other violators nearby. CDA officials confirmed these properties had failed to submit building plans or pay mandatory dues. All actions were taken legally, with ICT Police and a Magistrate present to oversee the process.
