CDA Sends Eviction Notice To Malpur Illegal Settlement Residents

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has declared the Malpur settlement illegal and issued an eviction notice to residents. Authorities have directed residents to vacate the area within the specified timeframe to avoid legal action.

According to CDA officials, both sides of Malpur fall under unlawful occupation and must be cleared immediately. The notice warns that failure to comply will result in the use of heavy machinery to demolish illegal structures. Residents resisting the operation may face up to one year in prison and fines running into millions of rupees.

The eviction notice was issued by the CDA Deputy Commissioner and Senior Special Magistrate, who emphasized the urgency of removing encroachments in accordance with the law. The authority reiterated that all illegal constructions in the area will face strict legal action.

This operation in Malpur is part of the CDA’s broader anti-encroachment initiative across Islamabad. Last week, the CDA launched a similar operation in Bari Imam, demolishing dozens of illegal structures. Officials said these efforts will continue until all unlawful settlements in the federal capital are fully cleared.

The new subsidiary of CDA confirmed that Malpur and other illegal settlements will be systematically removed to restore public land and enforce urban planning regulations. Residents have been urged to comply with the notice to avoid forced eviction and legal penalties.

CDA officials also highlighted that such measures are necessary to maintain lawful development and ensure safety and infrastructure integrity in Islamabad. The authority is committed to removing all encroachments from key areas while providing fair notice to affected residents.
