Bilawal Bhutto Zardari: Pakistan Can Bridge U.S.-China Relations
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emphasized that Pakistan can serve as a bridge between China and the United States, advocating for reducing distances rather than creating divisions.
Speaking to German media on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Bilawal cautioned against positioning India as a competitor to China, warning that such moves could disrupt the regional balance of power.

He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) while also stressing the importance of maintaining strong ties with the U.S. Additionally, he suggested that Washington could play a constructive role in restoring trade and dialogue between Pakistan and India.
Acknowledging the shared challenges of poverty and unemployment, Bilawal asserted that while complete peace with India may not be immediate, trade and diplomatic engagement remain viable pathways.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the U.S. Weighs In
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the U.S., Masood Khan, echoed similar sentiments, stating that Pakistan can serve as an economic bridge between China and the U.S.
Speaking on a podcast hosted by the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, he emphasized that peace and stability in the region should be a shared priority for Pakistan, the U.S., and other global powers. He also urged India to prioritize peaceful coexistence with its neighbors to promote regional stability and economic growth.
