Gang violence persists in Pakistan and in the recent incident, Balaj Tipu, the son of the renowned gangster Tipu Truckanwala, was fatally shot in a targeted attack on Sunday night.
Local law enforcement informed the media that Balaj Tipu was attacked while attending a wedding ceremony of a former DPS’s son in a residential area near Chung. In the gunfire, two other individuals accompanying Balaj Tipu sustained injuries and the assailant was also killed in the crossfire.

Balaj Tipu, son of the well-known Lahore-based gangster, was rushed to Jinnah Hospital, where he succumbed to excessive bleeding.
Given the history of enmities spanning three generations, senior police officers quickly arrived at the scene to prevent potential clashes. This tragic incident echoes the gang violence episode of 2010 when Balaj Tipu’s father, Arif Amir, widely known as Tipu Truckanwala, was murdered in the parking lot of Allama Iqbal Airport.
Billa Truckanwala, the grandfather of the deceased, was also tragically fatally shot in the past, shedding light on the deep-seated and enduring family feuds.
