Azam Khan Deletes Social Media Posts Amid Bullying

Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan has deleted all his photos and videos from his social media accounts following criticism over his fitness after his performance against England in the 4th T20I match, where he dropped crucial catches.

Previously active on social media, Azam faced severe criticism from fans over his fitness, leading him to remove all posts from his accounts.

The 25-year-old also received backlash from fans and former cricketers for his poor performances against England, though some have defended him.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik recently supported Azam on X, advising him to maintain confidence ahead of the mega-event. Malik emphasized that criticism should focus on performance rather than body-shaming, highlighting the fine line between constructive criticism and harmful comments that can mentally impact a player.

Due to the intense criticism, Azam Khan’s social media accounts no longer feature any pictures or videos.

In his T20I career, Azam has accumulated 88 runs with a strike rate of 135.38 in 12 innings for Pakistan, averaging 9.77.

He is expected to play in the middle order for the Green Shirts in the upcoming T20I World Cup, starting against co-hosts USA on June 6 in Dallas.
